I participated in the One Million Bones project yesterday by helping to place the art bones on the mall.
“One Million Bones is a large-scale social arts practice, combining education, hands-on art making, and public installations to raise awareness of ongoing genocides and mass atrocities in places like Sudan, South Sudan, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Somalia and Burma.”

In one of those random Washington DC, occurrences, I was at American Art right before The Old Guard had their All Hands Ball.
The command declared the ball to be “uncovered” which is why you don’t see the soldiers wearing their uniform cover (hat) even though they are outside.
